Deaconess Judy Maffett was born in Miami, Florida on November 1, 1960. She is married to Deacon Samuel Maffett. Together they share 8 adult children and 6 grandchildren. Deaconess Judy has 6 other siblings with her being the youngest of the 7. She was raised in a Holiness church where her mother was a Christian woman with a fear of God. At the tender age of 12 years old, she gave her heart to Jesus Christ and although she was pressed with so many obstacles because of her age and wanting to serve Jesus, she was willing to serve God with all of her heart because she accepted and loved Him for saving her as a child. Deaconess Judy knew that God had called her to serve Him and it was evident that God had a purpose for her with a life in ministry of some kind. Growing up in times of temptation, she became trapped in a life of sin, but in her heart she knew that God was still calling her and she always found herself in an environment of where someone would talk about God and conviction would come over her. After being tired of running from the call of God, at the age of 38, she rededicated her life to Jesus Christ. It was a sinner that caused her to change her way of sinful living and turn to God totally.
On a personal level, Deaconess Judy completed High School in Jacksonville, Florida and returned to Miami, Florida attending Miami Dade Community College studying Child Development. She presently works for Wendy’s Corporation as a Manager and she loves to help anyone that needs employment. She is thankful to God for giving her another chance at life and her heart is souls and her passion is to witness to any one that will listen and know Christ. After receiving free CD’s to listen to that has strengthened her life, it is the greatest gift anyone can get by listening and reading God’s word daily. Her testimony is that God has delivered her from drugs and unforgiveness. She further testifies that if He did it for her, Jesus can do it for you but, you must yield to His will for your life. Don’t let anyone persuade you to miss out on the plans that God has for your life because you will lose time and possibly your soul. She is thankful to Prophetess Felicia Parramore for seeing in the spirit by the Holy Ghost, what ministry she was called to as a Deaconess. Her desire is to please God and she is forever thankful that she and her husband has found a church that doesn’t compromise the Word of God. The open arms of love that is displayed from the Prophetess continuously is beyond measure.
Her favorite scripture is Psalms 27:1 “The Lord is my light and my salvation- whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life- of whom shall I be afraid?”
